Garden Party is our signature event that highlights Western Center’s ongoing efforts to end poverty in California as we fulfill our mission to fight in courts, cities, counties, and in the Capitol to secure housing, health care and a strong safety net for low-income Californians–all through the lens of racial equity. Western Center honors 3-5 people and institutions who have made an extraordinary contribution, either through their partnership with Western Center or through their lifelong commitment to social justice. Held annually, the event is attended by approximately 300 attorneys, philanthropists, business people, legal services providers, community based partners, philanthropists and many more. It raises approximately $750,000 each year.
