We acknowledge that we are on the traditional land of the Gabrielino/Tongva People (Los Angeles), Ohlone People (Oakland), and the Nisenan and Miwok People (Sacramento). We honor and respect the elders and descendants of these peoples, and acknowledge the consequences of settler colonization and injustices laid upon them.
This acknowledgment demonstrates our responsibility and commitment to truth, healing, and reconciliation and to elevating the stories, culture, and community of the original inhabitants of California. We are grateful to have the opportunity to live and work on these ancestral lands. We are dedicated to growing and sustaining relationships with Native peoples and local tribal governments.
